About us

I am a man of conviction and have been putting my expertise from over 20 years of banking and project management at the service of the most beautiful thing in the world since 2014: supporting children, young people and families in need and ensuring not only that children's rights are respected worldwide, but especially that children can grow up sheltered and protected through our programs and projects and gain confidence in themselves and their environment. The SOS Children's Villages not only create a safe home, but also give children the opportunity to lead independent and self-reliant lives in dignity!

From the very beginning, I have been committed to establishing a local presence for SOS Children's Villages in Liechtenstein. We were able to achieve this together in 2019. However, my connection to SOS Children's Villages goes back to 2002. At that time, I was in charge of a foundation with the purpose of promoting SOS Children's Villages projects and gained in-depth insights into the professional, sustainable and impact-oriented work. Visits to India, China and Mongolia strengthened my commitment. Seeing how concrete support makes a lasting difference to the lives of children and families motivates me to this day.

After 16 years at SOS Children's Villages, I am always delighted to see former Children's Village children living independent and fulfilled lives today, having completed their education, having a career, a social network and being actively involved in society. Moments like these make it clear to me that our work was and is successful! As a member of the Board of Directors of SOS Children's Villages Liechtenstein, I find it particularly motivating that we can make a positive difference for children, young people and families - both regionally and worldwide - by working together.
