Ethiopia is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Armed conflicts, recurring droughts, and economic collapse have left millions of people in dire straits. The Amhara region is particularly hard hit: violence, displacement, and destroyed infrastructure define daily life for the population. Schools are closed, health services are limited, and many families are struggling to survive. This is precisely where the project comes in. In the particularly affected areas of North Wollo and Wag Hemra, SOS Children’s Villages supports children, adolescents, and families through an integrated approach. In addition to rebuilding educational opportunities, protective structures are strengthened, psychosocial support is provided, and nutrition and livelihoods are secured. The goal is not only to help people in the short term but to strengthen their resilience in the long term.Children regain access to education, safe spaces, and support in their daily lives. Families are supported with food, seeds, and training to secure their livelihoods in the long term. At the same time, local structures are strengthened to rebuild protection and stability within the communities. With your donation, you are making a concrete contribution to emergency aid and reconstruction in the Amhara region. You are supporting children, families, and communities as they rebuild their livelihoods and cope with the humanitarian crisis.
