Relative poverty is also an issue in Liechtenstein and the neighboring Rhine Valley. 8 - 10 % of families can barely afford the bare essentials, let alone medically indicated therapies for their children if these are not covered by health or disability insurance and exceed the family budget. If the children or parents also have a disability or a mental or physical illness, these families need financial support to avoid further stress or excessive demands to the detriment of the child.
In cooperation with the pediatricians in Liechtenstein , we cover medically indicated therapy costs, support services for parents or aids such as special bicycles for disabled children.
The following therapies, aids or services , for example, are provided by the donations:
Dyslexia therapy
occupational therapy
Psychotherapy for children
Visual training to improve eye coordination
ADHD or autism counseling for families
Therapeutic riding
Therapeutic painting
Sports promotion
