Kiwanisclub Liechtenstein hands over check to SOS Children's Village Liechtenstein
Generous donation

Kiwanis supports children

Kiwanisclub Liechtenstein supports local family programme.

Magdalena Frommelt informed the Kiwanis members about the supported program. SOS Children's Villages Liechtenstein is committed to financing medical therapies and aids as well as respite services for children and young people whose parents cannot afford them. Magdalena Frommelt says: "With this program, we relieve the burden on families on the one hand and ensure equal opportunities for medical care for socially and / or financially weak children on the other."

The speaker continued, "This program makes it possible for over 50 children and adolescents each year to receive medical therapies and aids, as well as counseling and support services that are not paid for by health insurance or the IV. This ranges from animal-assisted therapy and help for ADHD children to playgroup costs for disabled children. Extrapolated to families, it can be said that 400-500 people per year are benefited in this way."

Kiwanis Club President Dr. Hannes Meier thanked the speaker and was pleased to present a donation on behalf of the club. Hannes Meier commented, "Kiwanis has the motto 'Serving the Children of the World.' We help not only worldwide, but also here at home. I am therefore particularly pleased to be able to present this check for CHF 8,000 today in the name of our club. This is linked to the firm conviction that many children and young people, but also their families, can be sustainably helped here with us."
